What is Media Psychology?

Media psychology is the study of how people interact with, produce and are impacted by technology and media--from traditional mass media to emerging media like the social networks of Facebook and Twitter.

Using a systems perspective, I draw on cognitive, narrative, and positive psychologies to make sense out of how technology and media influence our psychology and behavior. I research, assess and promote positive media use and applications in order to teach individuals and organizations on how to be effective communicators and innovators.
